Alec Agnelo

Alec Agnelo was born with muscular dystrophy. Muscular dystrophy (MD) is a disease which hampers locomotion. His parents had a great challenge carrying him to school to get him educated. They had been courageous to do this. Alec was growing, but still dependent on his parents, kids or teachers to move from one place to another. While studying at Vivek College, Goregaon (west), Mumbai, he was seen by Dr. Girish Trivedi. Dr. Trivedi was aware of electronic wheelchairs, which can help people suffering MD to move from one place to another. He discussed this with his parents, but the cost of the chair was another challenge for his parents. Dr. Trivedi approached HISWISH Trust.

The trust met Alec and found him an ambitious teenager with lot of expectation from life. The trust decided to help him with the electronic wheelchair. on hearing this Alec brimmed with joy. on receiving the chair, he was excited to be independent and move around. He could go to his college alone. he is pursuing him under graduate studies in Commerce from Vivek College.He is very confident of fulfilling his hobby of photography.

The electronic wheelchair is a battery operated a wheelchair, with easy maneuvering facility. It could be charged from a regular electric plug and the battery could last for whole day.
